Chapter 135 Blood is Thicker than Water, One Punch Shatters It
Vic and his companions felt they were about to break down. Vic's eyes widened, his mouth slightly agape, his face filled with disbelief. "Damn it, we still need to rent a boat, but this kid already has his own boat and is asking us for money."
Vic stomped his feet in anger, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
"Then we'll rent one, and Junior Brother Lin Wei can have his own. Don't lose him." Qiao Damo had completely calmed down, took a deep breath, and reminded him. He crossed his arms, his eyes cold.
He only wanted to kill Lin Wei now, and he didn't care how much Lin Wei acted.
"Don't worry, we won't lose them," Lin Wei said innocently, with a gentle smile on his face.
Lin Wei paid his points, retrieved his well-maintained small boat, and stood on the deck, waiting for their boat to be lent out. His hands rested on the gunwale, his body leaning slightly forward, his eyes revealing anticipation.
"Huh? Why are there so many people at the port? It sounds like people are arguing." Lin Wei jumped up, stood on tiptoe, and craned his neck to try and figure out what was going on.
"Commander Vic, what's wrong? Why are you so slow?" Lin Wei asked anxiously.
"I don't know. The port manager seems to be arguing with a wizard apprentice," Vic said, frowning as he pointed ahead, his fingers trembling slightly from the pressure.
Lin Wei then broke away from the group to check ahead. He walked briskly through the crowd, occasionally pushing aside those blocking his way.
"Angke, you've finally come out. Onbi rented a boat from us and hasn't been seen for over half a year. According to the agreement, you have to compensate for the boat," the manager said, shaking his head with a helpless expression.
"Impossible. You mean this kid hasn't been back to the organization for more than half a year?" Angko's face turned pale, his body trembled slightly, and his hands unconsciously clenched.
Although Ombi was usually a bit arrogant, blood is thicker than water, and he followed him to this unremarkable Turing Tower.
"Yes, Angke, the ship's fuel will only last for three months at most, not even half a year. Please accept my condolences." The person in charge shook his head and said, "We wizard apprentices, when we pay tribute to the flesh and blood of the sea creatures, will always encounter all kinds of dangers. It's not surprising that Angbi had an accident. I've seen too many of these over the years."
Angbi did not tell Angke, who was in seclusion, about his trip, so he did not know the specifics of what had happened.
The wizarding apprentices who were watching all looked on with sympathy. They whispered among themselves.
"No wonder the organization has been so harmonious lately, turns out it's because Umbi has disappeared," a wizard apprentice muttered under his breath, his eyes darting around.
"Yes, not only Umby, but his bunch of scoundrel buddies have also disappeared," a witch nodded, her brow furrowing slightly.
"Serves them right, those troublemakers are probably dead." A wizard apprentice said gleefully. He had been bullied by Umby before, and now that he heard about Umby's disappearance, a happy smile appeared on his face.
"Shut up!" Angko roared, looking at him. His voice boomed like thunder, making the ears of those around him ring.
Before the wizard apprentice appeared an extremely solid water sphere, its surface shimmering and radiating a cold aura. The water sphere exploded, turning into countless tiny water droplets that ripped his clothes, leaving him completely soaked.
A gust of cold wind blew, and the wizard apprentice finally reacted. His face turned bright red, like a ripe apple. He hurriedly changed his clothes, daring not to speak out, his head lowered, his body trembling slightly.
"That's really impressive," Lin Wei muttered to himself. "I could never make a water balloon like that." His eyes revealed envy.
The technique used to create this water ball is beyond the capabilities of ordinary first-class wizard apprentices; it requires extremely high levels of elemental control and mental strength.
Onco's move silenced the surrounding wizard apprentices. They then realized that Onco was a senior first-class wizard apprentice and a candidate for the Challenge Cup, with a good chance of becoming a first-ring wizard in the future.
Angke scanned the crowd and spotted Lin Wei's face. His eyes, sharp as a hawk's, searched through the people.
"Have you met Angbi?" Angke asked directly. His voice was deep and powerful, carrying an unquestionable authority.
He remembered Lin Wei, who was also a candidate for the Challenge Cup. He was a newcomer and had some conflicts with Angbi.
"Are you asking me?" Lin Wei said expressionlessly, his eyes revealing disdain.
Angke can act arrogantly within the organization because of his cultivation level, but it's really wishful thinking for him to step on my head.
"I don't want to repeat myself." Angke's expression turned cold as he looked at Lin Wei, his brows furrowing tightly like two small mountains.
A water sphere, identical to the previous one, appeared in front of Lin Wei. The wizard apprentices nearby scrambled to get out of the way, fearing they would get into trouble. They screamed and scattered like a group of frightened rabbits.
They couldn't understand why this big guy looked so arrogant, as if he wasn't afraid of someone like Angke.
Lin Wei's arm suddenly swelled up, his muscles bulging and veins clearly visible. He roared and punched the water balloon, shattering it.
Water splashed everywhere, falling like raindrops.
Onco's pupils contracted sharply. He could clearly sense that his water sphere had encountered at least a hundred hertz of power before it was shattered. His body trembled slightly, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.
"Are you out of your mind? We're all candidates for the Challenge Cup, and we're not allowed to fight each other before the assessment starts. Go ahead and do it if you dare."
After saying that, Lin Wei shrugged, turned around and walked away with firm and composed steps. Gautama and the others were still queuing behind, having seen nothing.
It's not advisable to clash with Angke right now. He has at least several thousand elemental factors, and I'm no match for him if I rely solely on my wizard cultivation.
"You..." Angco was furious, his face flushed red, veins bulging on his forehead, and his eyes wide open as if they were about to spit fire.
He clenched his fists so tightly his knuckles turned white from the force, paid the compensation for the boat rental to the person in charge, then flipped over and mounted his magic broom. The broom hummed and created a gust of air as he rode it away like an arrow.
He valued the Banshee Potion, which could help him break through to the first-ring wizard level, so he dared not violate the organization's rules and could only swallow the matter, but the anger in his heart could not be calmed down.
However, Angke always felt that his younger brother Angbi's disappearance was inextricably linked to Lin Wei. His eyes revealed a sinister look, and he muttered to himself, "Lin Wei, if I find out that you are involved, I will never let you go."
"This big guy is so strong." A witch's eyes gleamed with admiration, and she unconsciously clasped her hands together in front of her chest.
"This man is called Lin Wei. He's a newcomer from the human world. You didn't know him?" a nosy wizard apprentice said, raising an eyebrow with a smug look on his face. "He's also a knight."
"I don't know, what's so special about remembering a new bride's name? But I know it now." The witch memorized Lin Wei's name, her face showing a serious expression, and she nodded slightly.
