Chapter 1571: CEO Kingston Is So Nice
Jocelyn’s phone was constantly plugged into a portable charger, she got a new data card and kept checking the novel’s comment section. There were quite a few comments, but most were urging updates, Ian never popped up.Well, he is a prince, returned to the royal family, how could he have time to read novels?
Jocelyn sighed again, she carried Justin Kingston’s business card with her. If Justin gets a chance to enter the royal palace, she would wait for him at the entrance.
Anyway, she needs to know Ian’s situation.
Riventhal.
A breakfast cafe with quite a unique decor, in a fresh style. It’s Saturday, Trevor arranged all his morning work.
He was sitting across from Janelle, having breakfast and chatting.
Janelle poked her milk with a straw, resting her head with the other hand, puzzled, "It’s Saturday, it’s strange that Jocelyn’s phone can’t be reached, hasn’t she gotten up?"
"Maybe, writers sleep late; supposedly, novel inspiration only knocks at midnight," Trevor replied casually.
After speaking, he realized no one was responding. When he focused on the girl sitting opposite, he found her staring fixedly at him.
Her phone beeped, Janelle snapped back, took out her phone to check the message.
Trevor, eager to explain, said quickly, "Actually, I don’t know, I’m just guessing. I don’t usually keep in touch with Jocelyn, so I don’t know her routine."
"Jocelyn sent a message over..." Janelle, in shock, didn’t really listen to his earlier explanation.
She stared at the message, then slowly raised her gaze, "Guess where she is?"
Trevor shook his head, "No idea."
"She went to Lorelei," Janelle was shocked and puzzled, "Wasn’t it said we’d wait for CEO Kingston’s news in a few days?"
She couldn’t help but feel a bit worried.
Trevor paused, "Her going there doesn’t seem helpful. Can she contact Ian?"
"Probably not, Ian’s phone is unreachable until now; I just tried dialing too."
"..."
Janelle sighed, puzzled, "Given that day’s situation, it didn’t look like they were welcoming the prince home, did it? It seemed more like coercion, though nobody took out any ropes."
"Where there’s people, there’s intrigue, especially in the royal family," Trevor took a sip of milk, looking deep, "It must be a place full of turbulent currents. No wonder he chose to become a doctor; his unassuming nature doesn’t thrive well in the royal family."
"Yet one’s birthplace can’t be changed," Janelle commented, "Just wish him good luck; he seems quite alone now."
"Not necessarily," Trevor said, "He’s the King’s own son."
After a while, Janelle said to Trevor, "Maybe you should tell Justin about Jocelyn’s situation? He’s your brother-in-law, easier for you to mention."
Evidently, Janelle was concerned about Jocelyn and wanted him to help.
So, Trevor took out his phone and dialed Justin Kingston’s number, on speaker.
Janelle listened intently.
The dialing tone ended quickly, Justin’s voice came through, "Brother."
"Well, I heard Jocelyn went to Lorelei," Trevor told him, "Do you think it’s dangerous?"
Justin was silent for a bit, thinking, "Probably not, but what’s the use of her going there? Can she infiltrate the royal palace and gather information?"
"Probably that’s what she thinks; after all, people in love tend to lack some rationality," Trevor asked, "If there isn’t news about Ian these days, what’s your plan?"
"I already have a plan. Give me Jocelyn’s number, I’ll contact her," Justin, always accommodating, replied.
